What questions to ask vendors
- Does your product conform to the Section 508 (Refresh) standards? Do you have a VPAT in which this is documented. [VPAT example]
- Has your product been tested for usability by people with disabilities employing assistive technology?
- Could you please give a brief demo how your product works with the a screen reader (such as the freely available NVDA screen reader)?
- Your website states that you are working on improving your product's accessibility. This statement has been there for at least a year. What specific progress have you made?
- A recent study revealed that your search interface has certain accessibility problems. What has your company done to rectify these problems.
