Saving the Document as a Tagged PDF
- The easiest way to save a Word document as a tagged PDF document is to use the Microsoft tool.
- Press F12 to open the save As dialog.
- In the Files of Type, choose PDF.
- Check the Options (Alt + letter O) in the Options dialog for using Headings as Bookmarks.
- Press Alt + S to save the document as a tagged PDF.
- Going through either the Acrobat Ribbon or the File/Backstage area can give you differing results even though both tools are Adobe Acrobat add-ins for Word.
- For complex documents, you can try each method and decide which one gives you the best Tags.
