Starting with an Untagged PDF

• If you are using adaptive technology and you get the dialog stating that the document is scanned, press Escape!
• If you are using adaptive technology and you get the message that the document is untagged, do you want to infer the reading order, press Escape.
• Do not let Adobe Acrobat pro DC create the virtual Tags for a document!
• I've found that this can interfere with your ability to remediate the PDF document as Acrobat seems to fight with itself with one voice saying "but I have these virtual Tags" and the other saying "In need to Tag this content."
• Use either Accessibility > Auto Tag Document or Add Tags to Document from the Tags Panel.
