How unnecessarily difficult DS offices can make it for students to get the accommodations that remove barriers to their education....we are working on tearing down some administrative barriers that are so firmly in place! I am thinking of renaming our office The Department of Redundancy Department. Surely there is a better way.
That I would someday have to engage in a serious process, with my serious face on, to determine whether a therapy chicken was a reasonable accommodation in a residence hall. (See also: Great Dane, hedgehog, rosy boa)
