Save as PDF or XPS plug-in for Office 2007.
This is included in Office 2010 and 2013.
Uses the PDF 1.7 or Acrobat 8 specifications which are the current ones.
XPS is a completely inaccessible format.
Word document needs to be formatted using structure such as styles, lists, proper tools for spacing.
Does not have the capability to apply security.
Because it is using the same specifications, you will encounter the same issues with images being rearranged in the Tags Tree if you are not using Word 2013.
