Infer Reading Order
- This is the default setting. It means that the screen reader will infer the reading order of the document based on the virtual Tags.
- This message does not appear if the document is tagged.
- It is asking the end-user "how do you want me to guess at which way to read this?"
- As the default setting, adaptive technology will go down the Tags Tree and, using the Tags, read each part of the document telling the person reading the document what they are experiencing.
- For example headings, tables and graphics. Plain paragraphs are not identified and are just read as paragraphs. This is the same behaviour experienced in Word and HTML documents.
