Flash Fill

One of the most promoted features is Flash Fill.
Lets you combine information based on a pattern in a single cell.
Must be turned on to be automatic but Ctrl + E will perform this task easily even if not turned on.

You can enter information into a cell such as first name and enter the last name in the next cell. So you have information in cell A2 and B2 for example. You can then move to cell C2 and create the pattern. For example you can type K McCall, move to cell C3, press Ctrl + E and the same pattern of information will populate down column C: first initial followed by last name.
You can also add text to a Flash Fill. It is quite flexible in terms of what you can do, but you have to have a need for this type of fill.
