New Documents and Templates
- Every Office application now starts with a Start Screen
- Combination of recent documents and templates available.
- Can be annoying for business or academic use because templates shown are quite decorative.
- Personal templates now stored in Custom Office Templates in Documents not the default Templates folder as in past versions of Office.
- Can turn off the Start Screen by going to Word Options, General and unchecking the check box to Show Start Screen.
- To use one of your own templates, go to File/Backstage, New, Personal and your templates will be shown. Unlike previous versions of Office you can't use first character navigation to quickly locate the template you want.
