Toward the end of the presentation Ken talked about how it is possible to break the DRM on Amazon purchased books so they can be converted read in other readers. The simplest way is to use Calibre and to install in it a "tools_4.8" plugins. The plugins to Calibre are what decrypts the AZW files, turning them into unencrypted MOBI format, allowing Calibre to output them to EPUB (that can then be played back in players such as Blio or iBooks on iPad.
