Heading Styles in Word

• Using the keyboard, select text that is to be a heading.
• Press Ctrl + Alt + number 1 for heading level 1
• Press Ctrl + Alt + 2 for heading 2.
• Press Ctrl + Alt + 3 for heading 3.
• Select the text first so you don't overlap formatting.
