Accessible Document Design

• The key to an accessible document is to think about the content and how you want it read/displayed/organized on the page and in the document.
• Then use the tools in the source application to accomplish this.
• Avoid the "one-off" formatting and layout techniques.
• Be consistent in your navigational structure/headings/table of contents.
• Be consistent in the look and feel of the document/
• Use columns instead of tables and text boxes to lay out content.
• Insert tables, don't draw them.
