Accessible Document Design
- The key to an accessible document is to think about the content and how you want it read/displayed/organized on the page and in the document.
- Then use the tools in the source application to accomplish this.
- Avoid the "one-off" formatting and layout techniques.
- Be consistent in your navigational structure/headings/table of contents.
- Be consistent in the look and feel of the document/
- Use columns instead of tables and text boxes to lay out content.
- Insert tables, don't draw them.
